Nom Fwige is a short film that I made with my friend Pierre Deschamps. It is a brief glimpse into the life of a Kalinago family. To make a living, Israel carves masks from the fibrous trunks of tree ferns; Victoria weaves baskets from larouma reeds and catches crayfish and crabs from a nearby river for the cooking pot.
